Only eTwinners (eTwinning-validated users) can create projects. You also must be an active and validated member of an organisation (e.g. a school).
Retired teachers who are still validated on the platform but don’t have any active organisation memberships, cannot create a new project.
To select someone as Co-founder, you must be contacts. Additional restrictions apply, based on the organisations of the Founder and the Co-founder. The project is automatically marked as:
Intraschool project: the Founder and Co-founder are from the same organisation. Only other members of the same organisation can be invited to such projects.
ITE project: at least one of the two organisations (the Founder's or the Co-founder's) is an ITEI. Only certain users can be invited to such projects.
You are a Teacher Educator or a Student Teacher in an ITEI, and you are also a member of a School (for example as a Teacher, or as a Student Teacher in placement). Both memberships are validated by your NSO.
If you start a project with the ITEI, it automatically becomes an 'ITE project', no matter who you choose as Co-founder.
If you start a project with the school, it only becomes an 'ITE project' if your Co-founder is from an ITEI, for example a contact who is a Teacher Educator.
