Only eTwinners (eTwinning-validated users) can create projects. You also must be an active and validated member of an organisation (e.g. a school).
Retired teachers who are still validated on the platform but don’t have any active organisation memberships, cannot create a new project.
To select someone as Co-founder, you must be contacts. Additional restrictions apply, based on the Role you have in the Organisation that you selected to start the project with:
If the project Founder is Teacher Educator, then only the following users can be selected as Co-founder:
users who have the Teacher Educator role
users who have the Student Teacher role in an ITEI
eTwinning Ambassadors, and
NSO staff
If the project Founder is a Student Teacher
and the organisation is an ITEI, then the same rules apply as above (for Teacher Educators)
and the organisation is a School (a ‘student teacher in placement’), then the same rules apply as below (for all other roles)
If the project Founder has any other role (Teacher, Career counsellor, etc.), then only the following users can be selected as Co-founder:
users with any Role other than Teacher Educator or Student Teacher
eTwinning Ambassadors, and
NSO staff
You have two organisation memberships: you are Teacher Educator in an ITEI, and you are Teacher in a School. Both memberships are validated by your NSO. In your contact list, you have people with different roles; some have the Teacher role and others have the Teacher Educator role.
When you create a project, you select the ITEI to start the project with. Because of the organisation you selected, the relevant ‘Role in Organisation’ is ‘Teacher Educator’. Because of this role, you can only select contacts who are Teacher Educator as the Co-founder for this project.
Projects where the Founder or Co-founder is a Teacher Educator or a Student Teacher, are marked as ‘ITE project’. Only certain users can be invited to such projects.
Projects where the Founder and Co-founder are from the same organisation, are marked as ‘Intraschool project’. Only other members of the same organisation can be invited to such projects.
