What rights do the different TwinSpace roles give?

Authors list

In TwinSpaces, the following permissions can be set for regular users:

Role

Permissions

Teacher administrator (including Founder and Co-founder)

This is the role with the highest permissions, including adding new users, changing permissions of others (except of the Founder and Co-founder), creating and editing content like pages, materials, posts, forum, and manage updates and teacher bulletin posts from other users.

Teacher

This role is similar to the Teacher administrator, but does not have the permission to edit or manage other users’ content. They also cannot add forum discussions, create meetings, delete TwinSpace members or manage their permissions, or reorder pages.

Expert

This role is similar to the Teacher administrator, but is restricted a bit (in other ways than the Teacher role). They cannot post user updates, invite pupils, or access the teacher bulletin.

Contrary to the Teacher role, the expert can manage Twinboard items, materials, forum discussions, etc.

Observer

This role is the most restrictive, allowing mostly the consumption of content in the TwinSpace. For example, they cannot edit pages, add Twinboard items, or invite members. They also don’t have access to the teacher bulletin.

Things an observer can do, are uploading materials, add replies to a forum thread.

For pupils, see What can pupils and pupil administrators do in TwinSpaces?
